Map generation and new interface

Hey everyone.

It's been a while since my last (and first) post so here's some added goodness.

I was able to implement a first version of the map generator. It's really basic and the resulting maps could not be more abstract but it seems to result in some interesting close range engagement.
I also love the verticality of the resulting maps. Will continue to improve on it.

The second change is related to the interface. I managed to make it look prettier and a bit animated here and there. Also added new models for the shields which, as it can be seen, still require some more work.

Voice chat is also implemented but it's really basic and there's no encoding to the audio stream which results in huge network usage spikes whenever a player uses it. Looking into implementing Opus soon, seems like the best choice.

Following my first and only tester's advice (my bro), I also implemented adjustable sensitivity. You can just hold down key "1" during gameplay then Left Click to decrease and Right to increase. Smart, right?

So, here's the video:

What's next?
Well, I need to improve the map generator so that's priority number one. Second thing is to get that audio decoder so that voice chat is usable. Then on to the next big topic, game modes.

There's still work to be done but, once the map generator works better and voice chat does what it's supposed to, I will release the first public test version. We'll call it Alpha. So, stick around.

Battle machine out!
